Nobel Learning Communities, Inc., recently named its Principals and Teachers of the Year at the organization’s annual principal conference in Las Vegas. Nobel Learning Communities’ Principal and Teacher of the Year program recognize principals and teachers who standout by demonstrating a strong commitment to inspire, motivate and educate students and staff alike.
The winners are:
- Preschool Principal of the Year – Chris Booth, from Montessori Corner Children’s House of the Windsors in West Windsor, N.J. Booth has grown the student population of her school and garnered a reputation for her commitment to the Montessori philosophy while maintaining a joyful and welcoming environment for children. Her parents appreciate her exceptional communication skills and dedication to development and growth of each student at her school. She has been principal for five years.
- K + Principal of the Year – Quinn Letan, from Merryhill Elementary and Middle School in Milpitas, Calif. Letan, who was recently promoted to Head of School, received the award for growing the student population of her school and for inspiring students and staff. She is known among parents for having a focused vision for the growth and education of her students and for her deep belief in the importance of instilling global awareness in the classroom. Letan has been with Merryhill School for 11 years.
- Preschool Teacher of the Year – Tara Gravatt, from Chesterbrook Academy in Exton, Pa. Gravatt has been a teacher at Chesterbrook Academy for three years and is committed to making her classroom fun and engaging. She continually exceeds expectations and requirements and her students are constantly excited to learn and come to school.
- K+ Teacher of the Year – Jessica Block, from Merryhill School in Sacramento. Block has been a teacher at Merryhill School for 8 years and teaches second grade. She is known for creating original and engaging lesson plans for her students and collaborating with her fellow colleagues to learn best practices.
