A Look Back at April
After returning from Spring Break, we jumped right in to a busy month. We began with our final set of Parent/Teacher Conferences for this school year, immediately followed by the celebration of our little ones with the Week of the Young Child. We had so much fun putting on silly hats and glasses and taking pictures in our photo booth. We also enjoyed our free dress day while raising money for Autism Awareness.
If you attended the Annual Art Auction, you know what a great time we had. From our balloon artist, to the delicious pasta dinner made by our very own Mrs. Louis-Jacques, a great time was had by all. We wrapped up the evening with an art raffle as well as the creation of our very own snow cones. If you have not yet picked up your child’s canvas, please stop by the front desk with a $15.00 payment in the form of cash or a check to receive your child’s masterpiece. Thank you all for attending and showing support with this event.
Our reaccreditation is complete and WE PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS!!! Thank you all for your encouragement and support.
This Month
As we wind down the school year, we will be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week during the week of May 4-8. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to show your child’s teacher how much you appreciate all of the hard work she puts forth each day. One of the gifts that we will be working on for each of our staff members is a “Message in a Bottle.” If you have a moment, please write a short note to any staff member that you want to reach out to and let her know what makes her stand out. We will then place them all into a jar for each staff member to read at the end of the week.
Calling all mothers, aunts and grandmothers. We would like to invite you to join us for muffins and fruit on Friday, May 8th, from 8:15-9:00 am, as we celebrate you.
May 8th is also Pizza Friday. If you have not already signed your child up to participate, please stop by the front desk to do so.
We will be closed on Monday, May 15th, in observance of Memorial Day.
Friday, May 29th is Graduation Day. We will be holding graduation ceremonies for those Pre-K and Pre-K 2 students that are entering Kindergarten, as well as our Kindergarten students who will be entering 1st grade in the fall. Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend. There will be no school for students Pre-K-K on this date.
Looking Ahead to June
Wednesday, June 3 is an early dismissal day for all students. Please be sure that you pick up your child by 11:30 on this day. Also, there will be no school for students on Thursday and Friday, June 4th and 5th. Our summer program will begin on Monday, June 8th. If you have not already done so, please stop by the front desk for information on registering your child for this fun-filled summer program.
Fall classes are filling up fast! If you have not already registered your child for the fall, please stop by the office soon to ensure your child’s spot.
Yearbooks will be here the week of June 1st.
Thank you Parents for such an amazing year. Your support and dedication to our school is much appreciated. I know that I have the best job ever. I have the privilege of coming to work each day to spend time with your children. Thank you for sharing your family with ours.
