The wind is blowing, the temperature is dropping, and pumpkins and scarecrows are everywhere.
I love the fall season and enjoy the opportunities that it brings for us to spend more time outside. It makes me smile to see the classrooms enjoying a story or a circle time outdoors.
October brings some dates for you to mark on your calendars. If you do not have a copy of our calendar of events at home, please stop by the front desk to pick one up.
* October 7th–Closed for a staff development day.
* October 14th–Pizza Friday. If you have not already signed your child up to participate and would like to do so, please stop by the front desk. October 14th is also a free dress day. For a $5.00 donation to support Alzheimer’s research, your child may come to school dressed in his/her favorite outfit. Please make your donation at the front desk.
* October 21st–Halloween Extravaganza. Please make plans to join us from 5:00-7:00 PM for our annual Halloween Extravaganza. This is a fun-filled family event, complete with ponies, train rides, games and prizes, a raffle and silent auction and of course, food. Tickets will be available at a discounted rate through Friday, October 14th. Please stop by the front desk with any questions or to purchase your tickets.
* October 28th–Closed for Nevada Day.
* October 31st–Classroom Halloween parties. Please check with your child’s teacher for details.
