Dearest Merryhill families,
November is a time to be thankful for all the blessings in our lives! We here at Merryhill School are very thankful for our children and families that we serve each and every day. Since the busy holiday season in November and December are approaching quickly, we would like to give back a small portion to our local community. Starting November 28th we will be collecting toys for “Toys for Tots”. Once the toy drive is over we will have our local Marine department come out and collect the toys from the children. This will be a great “giving” and learning experience for them! More details will come once we get closer to the “Giving” Event.
We have added new and much brighter lights to the parking lot! Just in time for the time change this Sunday. Remember that with the time turning back one hour, the darkness comes earlier. We have added new lights that will make the parking lot much brighter, which in turn will make it safer for our families!
I want to send out a special thank you again to our amazing teachers who made Halloween so much fun with dress up days and mind-blowing, custom made costumes!! I am so proud of our teachers and I love our school so very much!!
The winners of the Best Classroom Costumes were:
1st Place- Pegasus and the Rainbow
2nd Place- Pirates and Chefs
3rd Place- Lego’s
The winners of the Best Teacher Costumes were:
1st Place- Ms. Perla and Ms. Beverly “The Rainbow”
2nd Place was tied- Ms. Maria/Ms. Maribel “The Incredibles” and Ms. Avantika/Ms. April “The Pirate and Chef”
3rd Place- Ms. Lidia/Ms. Valeria/Ms. Ana “The Aliens”
We had the most SPOOK-TACULAR time here at Merryhill Preschool! Thanks for being part of our family!
Now we need to mark our calendars for many upcoming events and a few school holiday closure dates. Please check our newsletter, our website and the preschool parent white board located in front of the preschool office for all November & December events and school closure dates.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns my door is always open. We are here to help you and “our” children in any way we can. Everyone at Merryhill is special and important to us. Let us continue to make this a great school year!
Quick reminders:
With more families using the parking lot, please be careful while driving in the parking lot! Do not speed, stay off your cell phone and do not park in areas that are not designed for parking. I am still seeing families park along the curb and this presents a safety hazard when cars are driving through the parking lot. Use the proper parking slots provided for the cars to park in. Parking inside of the parking lot along a curb is not allowed and it gives very little room for people driving through the parking lot to get by, especially if there is a delivery truck parked in our lot.
Please remember to sign in and out every day in the classroom binder! This is extremely important because we use this binder in case of an emergency!
Please put your child’s name on all sippy cups and water bottles. We do not want the children drinking from other children’s cups.
“All the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds we sow today.”

Parent Referral Program:
If there’s one thing parents love to do, it’s talk about their children’s successes.
When friends ask you about your child’s experiences at Merryhill School, what type of success stories do you share? Do you mention the personal and educational discoveries your child is making thanks to our advanced curriculum? Do you talk about the new levels of self and social confidence your child has gained thanks to our encouraging atmosphere?
*For every new child you refer who enrolls at our school, you’ll receive one FREE week of tuition for your child*.
It’s our way of saying thanks for doing what comes naturally – singing the praises of your child and sharing your experiences with the Merryhill School difference!
