The holidays are behind us and 2017 is here.
A huge thank you for all of the thoughtful gifts and kind words. Your thoughtful gifts of breakfast, holiday goodies and wonderful surprises made for a merry and bright season. Your support is so very appreciated.
I hope that you enjoyed cookie decorating, ornament painting, Santa, and your children’s voices ringing out in songs at our Holiday Program. What a fun night it was and so nice to catch up with so many of you.
We have a fun-filled month ahead so mark your calendars to be sure you don’t miss out on anything.
- Friday, January 6th, Merryhill Henderson will be having a snow day. Yes, you read that correctly, a snow day! Since Mother Nature is not cooperating with us this year, we have ordered 7 tons of snow to be delivered for a day filled with fun. Bring your little one to school with gloves, boots (if they have them) a hat and a jacket/coat and let the fun begin. We will enjoy some chilly-willy fun and then return to our rooms for some hot cocoa to warm our bones.
- KINDERGARTEN AND FIRST GRADE STUDENTS ONLY: There will be no school on Friday, January 13th, due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please check with Mrs. Hadama and Mrs. Thomas to sign up for a time that is convenient for you.
- January 16th, we will be closed for the holiday.
- Friday, January 20th is Pizza Friday.
- Saturday, January 21st, we will be hosting an Open House for new families wanting to join our Merryhill Community.
- Beginning January 25th, each Wednesday, for 5 weeks, our Pre-K and Pre-K2 classes will begin “discovery days” in our Kindergarten class. This is our opportunity to give you a better understanding of what our curriculum entails, as we begin to think about registration for the upcoming school year. Our kindergarten teachers will engage the students in hands-on learning opportunities that they might encounter next year in our Kindergarten Program.
- Our Annual Parent Survey will be coming to you via email this month. Please take a moment to give us your feedback.
If you have any questions regarding any of the above events, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Louis-Jacques or myself.
Thank you and Happy New Year,
Mrs. Luther
