Message from the Principal
Dear Merryhill Families,
This school year has kicked off with so much energy! As students are transitioning into their new classrooms, I am so happy to see the excitement across their faces as their teachers bring out new and exciting experiments and activities.
I hope you have all had a chance to meet our new Office Manager, Ms. Darice. She has been here a week and is already in love with the culture of the school and excitement shared by its students. Also, I hope these last few weeks have allowed you to acclimate to your new classrooms and teachers. Just as you learned new processes and changed dropping off/pick up procedures, all the students have been thoroughly engaged in learning their new roles and rules of their classrooms. They have all done such an amazing job throughout this transition, and the teachers are all eager to keep moving through these fun summer months.
Speaking of teaching the students new rules, I want to make a note of a few items:
1. Our hours of operation are 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Late pick up fee of $1 per minute will be assessed at time of pick up.
2. Please send your child to school with sunscreen on them! If you are unable to do this prior to their arrival, please be sure to let your child’s teacher know so that they may apply it prior to them going outside in the morning. During these months, we also suggest sending a water bottle that they can refill throughout the day for their convenience to drink when they are thirsty.
3. Automatic payment/withdraw is the most convenient form of payment for you as a family to keep up with your child’s weekly tuition. Please be sure to ask the front desk for details on how to complete your registration for this process.
4. Tuition Payments are due the Friday PRIOR to the week of attendance. Payments submitted after Monday at noon will be issued a late fee payment of $25.00.
5. If you have not completed and returned your new year documents, please due so prior to July 7th. We want to assure compliance with licensing regulations. Thank you for your help in advance for the completion of these documents.
6. Over these next couple of months, we have special events planned all throughout the summer months to keep the students busy and engaged. From classroom activities to puppet shows and movies, these students will have one summer to remember! In addition to these events, your child’s classroom may host separate celebrations/activities. These will be posted on classroom doors and sent out through Tadpoles.
Please keep an eye out on the calendar, as these special events will come up quick and this summer is packed with fun. Also, please don’t miss out on our summer soccer camp with Tiny Tykes previously known as Mini Kickers, which is the week of July 24th! Sign up today!
I would like to make a quick note that with our closure on July 4th, our next closure is AUGUST 11! This is a professional development day for our teachers, so please be sure to mark your calendars for this non-holiday closure.
As always, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Jherica McEndree
Principal
