Summer has come and gone. As we say goodbye to friends that are graduating out of our program, our hearts are sad. Some of these children have been with us since infancy. As hard as it is to see them go, we know that we have loved them, prepared them for their educational journey, and helped them build a foundation of trust, security, and a love of learning. Please come back for a visit and join us for spring, winter and summer sessions.
We now turn our focus on preparing for the upcoming school year. We will be welcoming returning students and staff, as well as some new faces. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year with our Merryhill Family. This summer has brought about some change and growth at Merryhill Henderson. We are opening up a new toddler room, and will be changing the infant/toddler classrooms to better meet the needs of your little ones. We will now have an Infant A class-6 weeks to 9 months, Infant B-9 through 14 months, Toddlers-15-20 months, and Early Beginners-20-28 months. We are excited about this growth and are looking forward to further growing our Merryhill Family.
Please note the following dates:
August 7-11–Merryhill Henderson will be closed for Staff In-service.
August 11–9-11 am–Meet and Greet. Please stop by with your child to see his/her new classroom and chat with the teachers.
August 14–First day of school
August 25–Pizza Friday–This will be the first of 10 Pizza Fridays this year. For more information and to obtain a list of all 10 dates, please stop by the front desk.
August 30, 31, and September 1–Lifetouch Portraits will be on campus to take student photos. All children will be photographed for yearbook purposes.
My door is always open. Please feel free to pop in to say hello. (I always keep a jar of chocolate on my desk for students as well as parents.)
Sincerely,
Mrs. Luther
