A Note From Our Principal
We hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones and we enjoyed celebrating with you all last month. Thank you to all of our families that attended our Thanksgiving Feast. It is always a treat seeing families come together and share good food and laughter. As the winter holidays approach we have many special events planned for our students and families and look forward to spending time with you all. We’ve also enclosed important winter and holiday procedure reminders in this newsletter. Please read through it carefully and reach out if you have any questions, concerns. Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Fitzgerald
Winter Program
please save the date for our annual Winter program. This will be held at our Merryhill Snowtrail Elementary school on December 14th at 6:00. Children ages 2 and above will sing there songs, ring their bells and sign songs using ASL. We can’t wait to see all of you there.
Winter Clothing Reminder
If you’ve not already done so, please check your child’s cubby to ensure they have an extra set of weather appropriate clothes. Students also need to come to school each day with a jacket and dressed warm enough to play outside for part of the day. If the weather is brisk we still go outside for active games and SPARK activities and want everyone to be able to participate!
Holiday Closures
Our school is closed on December 24th & 25th for Christmas and December 31st and January 1st for New Year’s Day.
Giving Events
This year we are going to be supporting 2 different events. As many of you know with the recent wild fires many of our families in California have been lost everything. We will be hosting a gift card donation box that will be sent directly to our sister schools in California to help the families that are being affected. Some stores that have the supplies that are needed are: Walmart, Target, Macy’s, Kohl’s or any VISA card would be greatly appreciated. Our second giving event is to continue to support our local community. We are adopting a local public school that is over 95% of their families are on a food subsidy plan. This means that these children receive breakfast and lunch at school. With the schools being closed for the two week holiday these children will not have access to these meals. We have partnered with this school for the past three years in collecting food to supply these families with food for the holiday. When you walk into our lobby you will see our Giving Tree and Gift card collection box, please take the time to help families less fortunate and teach our children about the gift of giving.
Winter Break Camp
We will be holding Winter Break Camp from December 24th-January 4th. Please keep in mind the deadline to enroll for camp is December 3rd so please stop by the front desk to reserve your child’s spot for a camp full of fun and friends.
