Dear Parents,
Happy Holidays – this is such a wonderful time of the year. It is an opportunity to teach children about other cultures and to teach them about Kindness or Giving. We always look forward to the wonderful events that this time of the year brings.
Thank you so much to all of our families who donated their extra change for the families of Butte County. This month we are collecting new socks for the Homeless population around Sacramento. This is greatly appreciated because if they can keep their feet dry – they feel warmer.
This month is also when we host our annual Breakfast with Santa. What a wonderful event this has begun, not only are we raising money to help with staff needs (and appreciation), but it is an opportunity to meet with Santa and tell him what your “wish” for Christmas is. And, of course…a wonderful pancake breakfast! Mark your calendars for the morning of Friday, December 7th.
This year Merryhill School will be closed both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day along with New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. It will be so nice to be able to have 2 four day weekends with your family. Please let us know if you plan to take your vacation week during this time.
We wish each and everyone a wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy New Year.
Please send us those greeting cards, we love to post them in our lobby.

Winter Clothing Reminder
If you’ve not already done so, please check your child’s cubby to ensure they have an extra set of weather appropriate clothes. Students also need to come to school each day with a jacket and dressed warm enough to play outside for part of the day. If the weather is brisk we still go outside for active games and SPARK activities and want everyone to be able to participate!
