HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and are ready to jump into the new year. We will be completing our second trimester assessments and sending those home in February, and then turning the corner to complete the final trimester of the school year. Time seems to move by faster and faster every year.
December was a busy month. We enjoyed spending time with all of you at our Holiday Program. We stuffed 100 friends to take home, visited with Santa, and shared a cup of cocoa with a side of cookies. Our annual toy drive was a huge success! We donated 7 bikes, 3 skateboards, 3 scooters and almost 100 toys! Thank you all so much for your generosity! Thank you also for all of the kind and thoughtful gifts, cards and goodies that you brought in for our staff. We so appreciate you thinking of us and sharing your kindness with all of us.
As we look ahead at January, please take note of the following dates:
- Friday, January 11th=Fun Friday-Subway. If you have not already reserved your child’s lunch, there is still time to do so. You can stop by the front desk before close of business on Wednesday, January 9th to add your child to our list.
- Friday, January 11th=Snow Day. Do you think it will ever snow again in Henderson? I sure hope so, but until Mother Nature cooperates, we will handle it on our own. It is time to locate those boots, hats and mittens, and join us for our third annual snow day.
- Monday, January 21st=Holiday. We will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
- Saturday, January 26th=Open House. If you know of a family who would like to join our Merryhill community, please invite them to join us from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Open enrollment for new families wanting to enroll for the 2019-2020 school year will begin in February; so this is the perfect opportunity for them to join us for a tour.
Thank you for your continued support!
