May is a month of celebration! In April we celebrated the joy of childhood, but the month of May we give honor to those who ensure the quality of childhood….our very own Merryhill teachers. It is a privilege to shape the minds and destiny of our children. It is a joyful experience to be a teacher.
We also want to take the time to show our Mothers how much they are appreciated. At Merryhill we desire to honor Moms and Teachers this month with special activities and tokens of our appreciation. Each and everyday our teachers and Mothers have been so involved and supportive of our school and the children we care for. What a winning combination! Great Moms and Gifted Teachers.
Thanks to everyone who helped make our Week of the Young Child a great success. The children clearly enjoyed themselves. Our book fair was a great success! We earned over $750 in free books for our classrooms. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely, Stephanie Gill/Principal

OUR TEACHERS ARE SUPERHEROES! Teacher Appreciation Week- We will be celebrating National Teacher Appreciation during the week of May 13-17. Our teachers are there to comfort and care for your child while you are away. The dedication they show for Early Childhood Education is greatly appreciated! We would like to purchase breakfast, lunch and coffee for the teachers this week. If you would like to make a monetary donation towards this or if you would like to donate items, please let me know. Please remember that this is optional for those of you who would like to donate towards it. You are also welcome to show your appreciation to your child’s teacher by writing them a special card, or having your child draw them a special picture. If you would like to buy your child’s teacher something special but don’t know what she may like, we have “all about me” forms upfront that the teachers have all filled out. Also, please feel free to take a superhero note card from upfront to write your teacher a special message. These will get posted on their classroom doors!
