Reminders
Nut Free: We are a NUT FREE school. We do have some students with nut allergies and appreciate your help in keeping all our children safe and healthy.
California Licensing Regulations require that parents check children in and out using our electronic system.
Tuition Options: We appreciate that you make every effort to make your tuition payments on time. As you are aware, tuition payments are due on Monday of each week (or on your child’s first day of attendance). To save you time, the headache of having to remember your checkbook every Monday and to avoid those pesky late fees, consider enrolling in our automatic payment program at no charge. We also accept credit card payments or you may use our Parent Portal. Please talk to Sue or Aubrey for more information.
LTH Binders: Our Links to Home Binders are located either just outside or right inside your child’s classroom door. Please make it a point to check these daily. We send Ouch Reports, Merry-Grams and other school information home via these binders. They are a great communication tool!
Art Files: Please remember to check them at least once a week to pick up your child’s amazing art work. Towards the end of the month you will also find your Parent Letter, Monthly Skills and Spanish vocabulary if Spanish is taught in your child’s class.
Clothing and Nap Items: Remember to update your child’s extra clothing as the seasons change and your child grows! Please label all their items so we can return anything that may be forgotten at the end of the day. Any soiled items will be placed in plastic bags and put into your child’s cubby. Each child needs a blanket and crib size sheet for rest time. Sheets and blankets must be taken home on Fridays (or your child’s last day of attendance during the week), laundered and returned on the first day of attendance.
Merryhill Elementary School: If you are interested in having your child stay with Merryhill School for kindergarten and beyond, please visit our elementary campus at 1115 Orlando Ave. in Roseville, just off of I-80 and Riverside Ave. The school contact information is 916-783-3010 or connie.curiel@nlcinc.com.
September 2019 Newsletter
Message from the Principal:
Hello Rocklin Merryhill Families!!
Summer is coming to an end and another school year is upon us. We’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new families, and a sincere thank you to returning families and those that chose to spend their summer with us. We enjoyed making memories with your children!
We are so ready for fall and to welcome the wonderful fall weather! The hot days were nice for water play, but I think our students will agree that some cooler days will be AWESOME! I have a feeling our parents are ready for the cooler weather as well!
We recognize that this is a busy time for many families. We’re using this month’s school newsletter to include reminders on school closures, communication, security and more. Please read through this newsletter carefully, and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
As always, we appreciate your continued trust in Merryhill Rocklin to provide your children with the highest possible quality of care and education. And please know, that I am always available to address any questions or concerns that may arise.
Warmly,
Sue Stewart
Principal
Holiday Closures & School Year Calendar
Our school does not follow the local elementary school schedule as we are open more days per year. For the 2019-2020 school year the days we are closed are:
Links 2 Home
If you’re not currently receiving photos and daily reports for your child you can easily change this by downloading the Links 2 Home app on your phone. Just type ‘Links 2 Home’ in the search bar for the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After downloading Links 2 Home you can register with the same email address that you used to enroll your child in our school. Links 2 Home also allows you to leave drop-off notes for your child and notify your child’s teacher of absences. If you’re having issues accessing Links 2 Home please let us know.
Love our school? Leave us a review!
In today’s connected world, many families turn to online reviews to learn more about schools for their children. That is why we are asking you to take a few minutes to visit our school profile on Yelp, Google or GreatSchools to share the wonderful experiences you have had with our school. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
School Picture Day
It’s time to get spiffed up for fall pictures! Lifetouch will be taking photos of all of our students on September 19. Please send your student to school in the clothes you want them to wear for their photo. All photos will be taken before lunch and nap time to ensure optimal cuteness!
