Get ready for a “Spook-Tacular” month!
Halloween fun is here and I wanted to inform you of the special events we have here at Merryhill Preschool during this time of year. We have planned Spook-Tacular activities for Halloween. Starting off we will have our annual Pumpkin Patch in our playground on October 28th at 9:30 am. Each child will pick their very own pumpkin to take home. The school will provide the pumpkins at no extra cost. The most exciting event that will happen is our annual Halloween parade. Here at Merryhill Preschool in San Jose, we make our own costumes. We design and craft them here at school with the help of the children and teachers. You will not need to bring your child in their “store bought” costume on Halloween Day. Each year the teachers think of the most amazing costumes and the children are absolutely adorable. Please do not miss out on this fun event! It is “one of a kind” and one of the best events of the school year! The Halloween Parade is on Thursday, October 31st at 3:30 in the back parking lot.
On November 8th our school will be closed for our Parent/Teacher Conferences. There will be no school for the children on this day, but the parents can come to catch up on their child’s progress and answer any questions they have regarding the quarterly progress report that will be sent home. We will have the sign-up sheets with times for conferences in the classrooms by October 18th.
Did you know? Car seats expire…check your car seat and make sure it is not expired…
Important Note From the Elementary School Principal:
For our children who are graduating to Kindergarten in the new school year, visit the Elementary front office for information on how to reserve your spot! There will be a Kindergarten Orientation on the Elementary side in January 2020. This would be the perfect time to learn more about the program. Keep an eye out for Joan Sousae’s emails. If you cannot make it to those events, or you want to see the Elementary School sooner, you can always schedule a personal tour with Ms. Sousae. Please contact the Elementary Principal for more details. Her name is Joan Sousae and her contact number is 408-254-1282. You can also reach her at joan.sousea@nlcinc.com.
