Hello Rocklin Merryhill Families!!
It’s finally fall and we can’t wait to experience everything the season has to offer with our students and families. We are looking forward to taking the learning outside and are planning special hands-on activities in all our classrooms.
With the changing of the seasons comes the need to update the clothing in your child’s cubby. Please make sure your child has clothes appropriate to the cooler weather! Also, please have a jacket or sweatshirt for your child, especially for those cooler mornings. Don’t forget to LABEL EVERYTHING!!
Our Halloween Carnival will be on Saturday, October 26. We’ll have lots of games and prizes! Of course, the ever- popular Glow Room will be back, bigger and better than ever! We will be combining our carnival with Trunk-or-Treat again this year. Parent/grandparent volunteers will be needed for Trunk-or-Treat, so please let us know if you would like to help out.
Our parent survey recently launched and if you haven’t done so already, we’d appreciate you spending a few minutes to take the survey. We look forward to all of your comments, both positive and not so positive. Those less than stellar comments help us get better at what we do. And it’s always nice to hear when we do things well! Please let us know if you did not receive it!
Our new location is moving along right on schedule. I should have some specific details about a move in date in the next week or so! I’ll keep you posted.
As always, we appreciate your continued trust in Merryhill Rocklin to provide your children with the highest quality of care and education possible.
Warmly,
Sue Stewart
Principal

Reminders
Nut Free: We are a NUT FREE school. We do have some students with nut allergies and appreciate your help in keeping all of our children safe and healthy.
California Licensing Regulations require that parents check children in and out using our electronic system.
Tuition Options: We appreciate that you make every effort to make your tuition payments on time. As you are aware, tuition payments are due on Monday of each week (or on your child’s first day of attendance). To save you time, the headache of having to remember your checkbook every Monday and to avoid those pesky late fees, consider enrolling in our automatic payment program at no charge. We also accept credit card payments, or you may use our Parent Portal. Please talk to Sue or Aubrey for more information.
LTH Binders: Our Links to Home Binders are located either just outside or right inside your child’s classroom door. Please make it a point to check these daily. We send Ouch Reports, Merry-Grams and other school information home via these binders. They are a great communication tool!
Art Files: Please remember to check them at least once a week to pick up your child’s amazing art work. Towards the end of the month you will also find your Parent Letter, Monthly Skills and Spanish vocabulary for Beginners through Pre K2.
Clothing and Nap Items: Remember to update your child’s extra clothing as the seasons change and your child grows! Please label all of their items so we can return anything that may be forgotten at the end of the day. Any soiled items will be placed in plastic bags and put into your child’s cubby. Each child needs a blanket and crib size sheet for rest time. Sheets and blankets must be taken home on Fridays (or you child’s last day of attendance during the week), laundered and returned on the first day of attendance.
Merryhill Elementary School: If you are interested in having your child stay with Merryhill School for kindergarten and beyond, please visit our elementary campus at 1115 Orlando Ave. in Roseville, just off I-80 and Riverside Ave. The school contact information is 916-783-3010 or connie.curiel@nlcinc.com.
