Hello All,
It has been too long since we have seen all of our friends – we miss everyone and look forward to the day when we can once again all be at Merryhill together. We are all anxious to open back up, but do not yet have a date planned. Currently we are reviewing all the new licensing guidelines and making preparations so that when the word comes from our Corporate office, we will be ready. We will get the word out regarding re-opening as soon as it is safe to do so.
I am happy to say that our Distance Learning is going strong. In addition to the weekly lessons, the children are now enjoying a virtual circle time and activity time each day through Zoom Calls. Thank you to Ms. Monique, Ms. Rosemary, Ms. Paulina and Ms. Julie K for making this happen for us – it’s so great to see everyone.
May brings Teacher Appreciation Week…
The staff at our Park City Merryhill School are a group of very dedicated and highly talented teachers. While we try to show our appreciation to them every day – each year during Teacher Appreciation Week, we try to make a special week of fun daily activities and “prizes” for all. This year, as you can imagine, is very different from years past and Monique and I find ourselves really thinking outside of the box, in order to celebrate these wonderful women. This year, especially, it is important to recognize and appreciate all teachers and we hope you will help.
This week – Wednesday, April 29th – Friday, May 1st we will put a donation basket in front of the school between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm. We hope you can drive by and drop something into the basket that we can share with our teachers. We are thinking of things such as: Special Notes of appreciation, gift cards, lotions, soaps, baked goods (Friday would be best for this) or whatever other small items you can think of. Monique and I will make sure that we get these items to the teachers.
We also hope you will send a picture of your child, holding a special sign of appreciation – a special “note” to your child’s teacher or anyone on staff. Examples: “I miss you”, Can’t Wait to see you again, etc… Send all pictures to my email at Susan.Freitag@merryhillschool.com I will put them together in a video and send them out to the staff.
We understand that these are difficult times for all and any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated. And once again, I think, more than ever, it is important this year to show our appreciation to our staff.
Thank you so much for your support.
