A Note From Our Principal,
We hope that you all had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. As the winter holidays approach, we have many special activities planned for our students and look forward to spending the season with them. This is the time where as a school community, we celebrate Christmas around the World! Teachers will be going over all the various cultural celebrations that go on this time of year. From Hanukkah, Las Posadas, Kwanzaa and Christmas, teachers are excited to teach about the cultural diversity. We’ve also enclosed several important winter and holiday reminders in this newsletter. Please read through it carefully and reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Happy holidays!
Sincerely,
Christine Harrah
School Closure Reminders
As a reminder, we do not always follow the closure schedule of the local public schools. Our goal is to be open as many days as possible to support our working parents. If we must close for any reason, you will receive a notification via Links 2 Home as soon as the closure is announced. We also post notifications on our website.
Winter Clothing Reminder
If you’ve not already done so, please make sure your child’s cubby has an extra set of weather appropriate clothes. Students also need to come to school each day with a jacket and dressed warmly enough to play outside for part of the day. We want everyone to be able to participate!
Holiday Closures
December 24 & December 25: Closed for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
December 31 & January 1: Closed for New Years Eve & New Years Day
Holiday Giving Project
This year we are partnering up with Sacrament Loaves & Fishes. We will be doing a Christmas Stocking Drive. The goal is for parents to stuff a stocking and filling it with travel size toiletries, knit hat or gloves, disposable razors, shoelaces, chapstick, toothbrush/toothpaste, hand sanitizer or even a gift card! Our Donation Drive will begin on Monday, November 23rd to Friday, December 11th.
