Dear Merryhill families,
Tick-tock…tick-tock…tick-tock…
The countdown to the Holidays begins!
Things will be getting busier and busier as the holidays approach. Please remember to read the notes we send home and check our website http://capitol.merryhillschool.com to mark important dates on your calendars.
Our annual “Giving” event that we host every year is the “Toys for Tots” toy drive. This event kicked off this week. We will have our Holiday Tree up and ready to receive the unwrapped, new toys. Please bring in an unwrapped, new toy for “a child in need” and your child will receive their name on a star for our Holiday Tree. Nitaara’s family gave the first presents under the tree! Thank you, Mehta Family, for being the first one to decorate our Merryhill tree! The due date for the unwrapped toys is Monday, December 14th. We will have the US Marines come out and take our Toys for Tots toys from the parking lot and deliver them to the children in need for the Holidays!
Our Holiday Show is coming! The Holiday Shows will start next week!!
And the fun never ends! Santa Claus will be coming “Ms Heather dressed as Santa” to Merryhill School on Friday, December 18th at 9:00 AM. Santa always comes with gifts for the children! These gifts are brought in by YOU, the parents…please! Each family will bring in one or two *not wrapped* books, so that we have enough books to give out from Santa. Please do not wrap them because we will be cleaning them before we pass them out. Please bring the new books in by Monday, December 14th. Turn your book in to the front check in table outside of the school. We will take pictures of this Santa event and send them through tadpoles.
We have so much in store for December!! Try to relax…check the newsletter for important dates…and enjoy all the fun!
We wish you a Happy Healthy Holiday Season and a Happy, Healthy New Year!

Parent Referral Program:
If there’s one thing parents love to do, it’s talk about their children’s successes.
When friends ask you about your child’s experiences at Merryhill School, what type of success stories do you share? Do you mention the personal and educational discoveries your child is making thanks to our advanced curriculum? Do you talk about the new levels of self and social confidence your child has gained thanks to our encouraging atmosphere?
*For every new child you refer who enrolls at our school for three months, you’ll receive one FREE week of tuition for your child*.
