A Note From Our Principal
We hope your children enjoyed their fall lessons, pumpkin themed activities and classroom celebrations this past month! Seeing our students enjoy their Halloween costumes and fall attire is one of the highlights of the year for us. Thank you for allowing us to be part of these special occasions! This month we are focusing on gratitude and connecting with others. We have many special activities planned for our students and are looking forward to sharing photos with everyone on Links 2 Home.
If you have just gotten settled in, we would love to hear from you! How are you doing navigating links to home? Have you instant messaged your teacher yet? Are everyone’s codes working? Any kinks you need help working out to make your child’s day more successful?
We want to hear from you!
If you have family members that would like to be on the list to receive pictures of your child’s day, please let us know their name and email! We can add them to your picture list!
Have any questions or concerns? Email 1047adminteam@nlcinc.com to ensure that your email is handled as efficiently as possible. This email will send to Jill McSpadden (Principal), Aubrey Larsen (Assistant Principal) and, Lisa Mejia (Office Administrator). Sometimes time is of the essence so be sure to keep us all in the loop so that we can best assist you!
As always, please reach out if you need anything at all 🙂
Sincerely,
Jill McSpadden

Thanksgiving Scarecrow Contest!
This year we’re kicking it up a notch! Each classroom will be creating their very own Classroom Scarecrow and we are asking for parents to check in with their child’s teacher to see what supplies they need the most!
- All scarecrows will be on display in the lobby from November 22nd.
- Wish lists from classrooms will be sent home via Tadpoles and available in the classroom by 11/5/2021.
- Please make any donations by 11/8/2021, to give our kiddos ample time to create their Scarecrow Mascot!
- We will have a fun contest to wrap up the event!
Toys for Tots – Happening now through December 16th
You may have noticed the big box in our lobby! For this year’s Kids Helping Kids Fundraiser, we will be collecting Toys for Tots! If you would like to participate, we kindly ask that you bring in new, unwrapped toys. In this way, they can better sort them to ensure children in need are getting age appropriate toys 🙂
Picture Day! November 4th and 5th
Thursday November 4th – Infants, Toddlers & Beginners
Friday November 5th – Intermediates, Pre-K & Pre-K2
Siblings will take pictures on the younger siblings scheduled day.
If you are not scheduled to attend on your child’s picture day, we will take their picture when they are here.
*** Menu Notes ***
As of late, we have had significant issues with food items not being available after ordering. When this happens, we have to quickly switch up the menu with another item. We kindly ask that all students that have dietary restrictions or allergies be prepared each day by bringing in an alternative snack(s), regardless of what is on the menu. If you would like to keep extra snacks in the classroom, please speak to your Teacher to arrange for this. We thank you in advance for your cooperation 🙂
Parent Survey Reminder
Our enrolled parent survey launched in October. If you have not received the email, please let us know so we can request it be resent. The survey provides the opportunity for you to give us feedback anonymously on our strengths and areas we can work on. Survey closes November 19.
Please know that we take feedback about our school very seriously. My door is always open should you wish to bring your feedback to me in person, on the phone, or via email. There is no question too small, no complaint too big, that I can’t handle. The more you reach out, the better able I am to improve our program, and, make your experience and your child’s day the best that it can possibly be!
