Hello Merryhill Families,
Happy new year to everyone! I can’t believe it is time to welcome 2023. With the new year brings so much excitement for the future of Merryhill-Pocket. To start off I am please to announce that our Links to Learning renewal will be launching the first week of January. The teachers are busy training, planning their lessons and gearing up to bring the new materials into their classrooms. Please be on the lookout for those purposeful activities going on!
Also, we recently had a brand-new outdoor play structure installed on the preschool AstroTurf yard. We are waiting for Childcare Licensing to inspect it sometime this week. The kids are so super excited to play on it!
I leave my newsletter with this final note, January we are kicking off the year in celebration of remembering diversity, equity and inclusion. We all belong here and have a voice to be heard. In celebration of the great Martian Luther King Jr. he once said he had a dream of a world of equality, a place for all people. We teach our little ones everyday how to share, use words and recognize our feelings and empathy for others. What a great profession the staff and I have to be able to witness the future of our world right here at Merryhill-Pocket. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be apart of your family. I know you can go to any preschool in our great city. Thank you for choosing us! I pledge we will continue to provide a safe, fun and loving environment for the children. If you have any questions or concerns or would love to just chat, please stop by. I am always here for you.

Jan 17th – Bring in a framed family picture to display in the office this week, we will be returned the end of the month.
Jan 22nd – Lunar New Year starts today
Jan 31st – Links to Learning folders go home today
