A Note from Our Principal
Happy April! This month, we are looking forward to spending even more time exploring the outdoors with your children. Spring provides a great opportunity for them to learn and grow as they discover new things in their environment.
This month the children will discuss all the changes around us. They will be learning about flowers growing, trees blooming, and colors around us. We will point all these wondrous miracles in everyday life, and with fun activities we will help children expand their language, communication skills and help them to be eager learners.
We will celebrate The Week of the Young Child April 3rd-7th. Earth day is April 21st. Some of the fun activities that you can do on that day are: take your child out and show them how to fly a kite, practice riding bicycle, or spend an afternoon watching cloud shapes and blowing bubbles.
We will have our Spring party on April 7th. We are asking for donation of filled eggs for our Egg Hunt. We would like all donations by April 5th, and please remember we are PEANUT FREE school.
Keep in mind, your child is always learning. We are looking forward to an Amazing April!
Sincerely,
Natasa Zivkovic
Week of the Young Child
Week of the Young Child, April 1-7, recognizes young students, their teachers, and their families for all their hard work. This annual event, sponsored by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), allows us to showcase the importance of early childhood education, our Links to Learning curriculum, and everyone who makes it possible. We have many fun activities planned for Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday, and Family Friday. We will send more information via Links 2 Home soon.
Earth Day
Earth Day falls on a Saturday this year, so we will be celebrating on April 21st. We will be celebrating Earth Day by releasing ladybugs in our Merryhill garden. We can’t wait to share photos with you.
Open House / Family Referral Bonus
Our next Open House is on April 29th… so don’t forget about our referral bonus! When you refer a friend and they enroll, you’re eligible for a free week of tuition. Ask us for more details.
Cubby Refresh
As the weather begins to warm up, please make sure to refresh the spare clothing in your child’s cubby. Take home anything that no longer fits and leave a spare set of well-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes.
Did You Know?
The weather outside helps students learn inside. They don’t just describe what they see and feel. They use a thermometer to measure and chart their findings… learning to stimulate scientific thinking and make predictions.
