A Note from Our Principal
Goodbye June, and Welcome July!
Summer is in full swing, and we are enjoying every minute of it. This month we are partnering with Sacramento Zoo to participate in Kids Helping Kids project. Merryhill Schools and Sacramento Zoo are partnering to collect books for the Little Mustard Seed organization. We are kindly asking you to donate new or gently used books related to Animals or Zoos. We will have a book drive bin located in the lobby from July 15th through July 26th. If you would like to learn more about this event, please feel free to reach out to the admin team.
Please know that we are very aware of the spiking temperatures and sometimes unhealthy air quality. Once the temperature hits 90-degree mark, we minimize the amount of time our students spend outside. The same is true for those bad air quality days. We play outside as much as possible in the mornings and provide alternative activities for the afternoons. Please make sure your child has sunscreen at the school and we will be sure to apply prior to going outside to play. The sunscreen release forms are in the front office for your convenience.
Don’t forget our Water play days are every Wednesday! The kids are having a great time splashing around! We also use our water play days to help teach about sun and water safety.
We are looking forward to a Wonderful July!
Sincerely,
Natasa Zivkovic
Independence Day Activities
Our classrooms will be working on festive activities in honor of Independence Day all week long. Let’s wear our red, white, and blue on July 3rd to celebrate the 4th of July. We will even have a parade outside showcasing our patriotic gear!
Kids Helping Communities
Every summer, we participate in our Kids Helping Communities initiative to give back to communities in need. This year, we will be partnering with Sacramento Zoo to collect books for the Little Mustard Seed organization. Keep an eye out for more information via Links 2 Home!
Family Referral Bonus & Open House
Do you know a colleague who has recently had a baby, a friend in need of care who just relocated to the area, or a family member who is seeking a new preschool for their child? Invite them to our Open House on Saturday, August 3rd. When you refer a friend and they enroll, you’re eligible for a free week of tuition. Ask us for details!
Splash Days
Water days are so much fun! Please continue to send your child to school with their swimsuit on and pack a change of clothes and a towel. Sunscreen should be applied before drop-off. For the safety of our students, we ask that they always wear closed-toe shoes. Thank you for your partnership in creating a safe summer!
Don’t Forget to Re-enroll for Next School Year! (Header 2)
Thank you to our families who have already secured their re-enrollment for the upcoming school year. Our classrooms are filling quickly and our teachers have already started to plan exciting new activities for next year. For those who have not yet registered, we urge you to complete the re-enrollment process as soon as possible to guarantee your child’s spot. Please let us know if you have any questions or need a copy of the Letter of Intent form to complete for the 2024/2025 school year. We look forward to another year of growth, learning, and fun together!
