A Note from Our Principal
Summer is in full swing, and we are soaking up all the seasonal fun! From spending time outdoors and having fun with water to playing games with friends and participating in new learning experiences, we’re creating a summer to remember! We are kicking the month of July off with a Splash-tacular week and the children will enjoy the Bubbly lady on July 1st! Take a peek at the photos for all the fun activities. We can’t wait to see what the rest of summer holds for us.
Sincerely,
Karina Medina
Independence Day Activities
Our classrooms will be working on festive activities in honor of Independence Day all week long. Let’s wear our red, white, and blue on July 3rd to celebrate the 4th of July. We will have a science experiment to create fireworks! What happens when you combine Diet Coke and Mentos…come join the fun and be ready to explore!
Splash Day
Water days are so much fun! On July 2nd, please send your child to school with their swimsuit on and pack a change of clothes and a towel. Sunscreen should be applied before drop-off. For the safety of our students, we ask that they always wear closed-toe shoes. Thank you for your partnership in creating a safe summer!
Kids Helping Kids
Donating to our community is important to Merryhill Preschool therefore we participate in our annual Kids Helping Kids Project! This year we will donate to Project Linus! We want to teach our students about the importance of helping others in need. Project Linus accepts fabrics so volunteers can make blankets for children who are in the hospital or children in shelters as they may need a big hug or something to cuddle with. Unfortunately, they do not accept store bought blankets. During the week of Kids Helping Kids 7/8, the Intermediates and Pre-K students will make blankets for children. We are excited to help our community and having our students participate in the great cause is special to Project Linus! We are now accepting donations until July 12th. Please stop by the office if you need more information.
