I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a very happy new year. Thank you so much for your generosity last month. Our teachers, administrative team, and I truly appreciate all the thoughtfulness and care we received.
We have such an eventful month starting with our parade, to caroling, and finally Santa visiting!

Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr.
We are excited to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. this month as part of our ongoing exploration of diversity and inclusion. We have many meaningful activities planned, including reading inspiring books and having thoughtful discussions about acceptance, belonging, and making a positive impact in the world. We’re looking forward to these important lessons, and we’ll be closed on Monday, January 20th, to honor MLK Day.
Open House
We’re hosting three Open House events in January! Spread the word and invite your friends and family to join us on:
Thursday, January 9th from 9:30 – 11:00 AM for an inside look at our curriculum in action
Thursday, January 9th from 6:00 – 7:30 PM for Storytime, crafts, and s’mores
Saturday, January 11th from 10:00 AM – 12 PM for a weekend walkthrough
Lunar New Year Celebration
Join us as we celebrate Lunar New Year. We will be holding a Lion Dance Performance on our Big Playground. This will take place at 10:00AM on January 22nd 2025, parents are encouraged to join!
January 29th we will be serving Fried Rice and Orange Chicken as we learn all about the holiday. We will have some parent volunteers coming in to tell the story of the horoscope, give out red envelopes, and lead them in a craft project
Family Game Night
February 6th from 6-7:30
Dinner will be provided with admission. Please purchase your tickets in the front lobby. Tickets will go on sale January 20th for $5 per person. 100% of the proceeds will be going towards Elk Grove’s new zoo!

Merryhill’s 1st Pickleball Tournament
Join us March 1st 11AM-2PM. Merryhill Laguna is hosting our very first Parent Pickleball tournament! We are looking for pairs of parents that are willing to compete against one another to win the title of “Merryhill’s Pickleball Champions” and bragging rights for a year.
We will have A food truck, games, and music.
Signs ups for the competition will come out the end of January, so you have plenty of time to practice with your partner, Jerseys will be provided to all the participants and a trophy for the winners.
