Dear Parents,
Our December character trait is appropriately focused on “Caring”. We already have several opportunities started to allow our students to demonstrate their compassion and consideration for others. Attached to this letter I have included a Random Acts of Holiday Kindness Calendar from our second grade classes. It was such a great idea that we decided to share it will all our students. I believe it is important for children to recognize that a gift of kindness is something you can’t buy but perhaps the greatest gift we have to offer. You may have heard that we now have a Post Office at Merryhill sponsored by the second grade classes. This is an opportunity for parents to share their care by sending their child a letter or perhaps a holiday card. The post box is in the main office in front of my office. And, once again our PTO is sponsoring an annual toy drive. We encourage families to bring a toy to the Holiday Show or their child’s classroom. The toys will be donated to the Shane Victorino Foundation for the benefit of children served by the Shade Tree Shelter and other local charities.
Your child has been given a Login for the First in Math Online Program. Your child may use their First in Math User ID & Password at any time on a device with Internet access. Children using this website earn points (online stickers) to motivate them to practice.
