Letter From the Principal
Dear Parents,
The holiday season is upon us and with it the whirl of family traditions, customs, and celebrations abound. It is also a perfect time to help our children appreciate and value all they have, particularly in contrast to so many who are struggling in the world around us. Our PTO is sponsoring a toy drive for the Shade Tree Shelter so what a great opportunity for your children to give to others. I encourage allowing your child shop for the gift or even earning the money for their purchase.
We invite family and friends to join us for our annual Merryhill Winter Program on Monday, December 12th at 6:30 P.M. for Kindergarten through Second Grade and Tuesday, December, 13th at 6:30 P.M. for Third through Fifth Grade. Please have your children here by 6:00 P.M. so we can begin our show promptly. Our PTO has arranged for a videographer to capture the entire performance so you can sit back and enjoy the show.
Just three short weeks until our Winter Vacation and there is so much going on so be sure to check the December School Highlights for dates and times of the many special activities.
Your child has been given a Login for the First in Math Online Program. Your child may use their First in Math User ID & Password at any time on a device with Internet access. First in Math online content ranges from addition through complex algebra, and includes a focused area for K-2 students. Children using this website earn points (online stickers) to motivate them to practice. At school, we will in turn, present the student with the most stickers a medal and the class with the most stickers a trophy at our monthly award’s assembly starting in January.
