April sure went out with a bang!! The children enjoyed a fun filled week of events to celebrate Earth day. Deputy Drip visited our children to share information about the importance of conserving water here in Las Vegas. The teachers planned their lessons around global warming, water pollution and keeping our earth healthy. On Friday we ended our week with a fun event that gave the children a chance to fish and see if they caught a piece of trash or a fish, sort recycling items, make bird feeders and enjoy a pudding dirt cup as a treat.
May is also a busy month. We started it off with Teacher Appreciation Week. The Parent Association collected donations to make Snack and Spa baskets and on Friday a wonder luncheon was set up for everyone to enjoy. It really was wonderful to walk into the staff lounge to find a special treat each day. We have also kicked off our Summer Camp registration. Space is limited so don’t wait to sign up.
June will be a short month for us with school ending on June the 8th at 11:30. We will also have our End of the Year Carnival. If you would like to volunteer please stop by the front desk. This event is lots of fun and a great way to celebrate the end of a fantastic school year. I look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Fitzgerald, Principal
