Message from the Principal
Dear Merryhill Families,
I am so excited about what we have before us! I want to apologize if I have not made that as clear these days as I myself am coming to a realization that I am sharing my last preschool moments with my own preschooler over these next couple of months. I’ve had one already go into elementary school; however, this is a bit different as this is my very last set of events as a preschool mommy as she is my last.
So, let’s just talk about the excitement — always an easier topic! This month specifically, we will be hosting our Mother’s Day Hat Fashion Show & Tea Party on May 12th from 3:00-4:30 PM! This grand event is to honor the special women in our lives. All Moms, Aunties, Grammies, or even close family friends are welcome to join us for a special recognition for the important role that they play in our children’s hearts. The children are working so hard on their Links to Learning Curriculum and are handling the extra expectations quite well, as they know it’s all worth it!
Cinco de Mayo is always a fun celebration. Be sure to ask your child’s teacher what they have planned for this fun and festive day! During this National Bike Month, we will also welcome our local Firefighters and their truck on National Firefighters Day (May 4th) and Police Officers from the City of Davis Police Department during National Police Week.
I am so happy to get this month started! I love to take the time to honor the important people in our students’ lives, which includes the amazing team of teachers here at Merryhill Davis. We will host our Teacher Appreciation Week on May 1-5. Keep an eye out for more fine print details via Links to Home (Tadpole).
As always, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Jherica McEndree
Principal

Will your child only eat pizza or chicken nuggets? Are you fighting an uphill battle to get him to take just a bite of broccoli? If so, you’re not alone. Picky eating is a common and normal behavior for many young children. It can be their way of declaring independence,[.....]
