A Note From Our Principal,
Thank you for the love and appreciation you all showed our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week last month. We value your involvement and the Teacher’s were thrilled at all of the love and support that came their way! Last month we enjoyed being outdoors together, celebrating Mother’s Day, and getting used to the heat! Our school year officially kicks off June 18th and we will be updating all of our families momentarily on where and when they will see their child transition to in the new year and at what time. We can’t wait to spend summer with you and your family!
As many of you have now noticed, I am just about ready to start a family of my own! I am due July 5th, and anticipate starting my maternity leave on June 29th, returning around the end of August/beginning of September. My son-to-be, William, will be joining the Merryhill Family as well in the Infant program when I come back to work, so we expect to pick up right where we left off, ready to tackle a new school year!
While I am away, Ms. Karina will be taking over my role as the Principal and she will be able to handle any and all issues you may experience. She is well-versed in our school, having been Acting Principal previously, so I have no doubt that this will be a seamless transition. Ms. Darice will also be here to help you out, so please feel free to reach out to either of them with anything that comes up.
Sincerely,
Jill McSpadden
Warm Weather Reminders
Please send a labeled water bottle and sunscreen to school with your child if you have not already done so. In addition to keeping a bottle at school, students in our program should come to school having already applied sunscreen for the day. We strongly encourage all children to bring a hat with them as well to be worn during outside play time.
