A Note from Our Principal,
It’s finally fall and we can’t wait to experience everything this season has to offer with our students and families. We are looking forward to taking the learning outside and are planning special hands-on learning activities in all of our classrooms. This month we have several amazing family events as well. We hope you can attend!
Weather Reminders
Despite the unpredictability of fall weather we try to ensure that our students spend time outdoors each day. Please make sure your child has a jacket available and a weather appropriate change of clothes in their cubby at all times. We have many fun outdoor activities scheduled for this month and don’t want any of our students to miss out!
Classroom Pumpkin Contest
This year each of our classrooms is decorating a pumpkin to enter into a school-wide pumpkin contest. Each of our students will have an opportunity to participate in decorating the pumpkins. The pumpkins will be put on display in the lobby during the week of October 15th. We encourage you all to vote for your favorites! The winning class will get a special gift and have their pumpkin displayed on the front desk.
Fall Classroom Parties & Costume Parade
We will hold our fall parties on October 31st with our Costume Parade. Parents are welcome and children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume as long as it does not interfere with eating and toileting. After the parties our classes will go trick-or-treating in our school. We are collecting small toys and healthy treats; please let us know if you would like to contribute.
Ancillary: Cooking Class – Pumpkin Mummies
Preschoolers can begin to learn basic concepts that they will need in the kitchen. If you would like your child to participate in the October cooking class, please return the form to the front desk no later than October 10th.
