A Note From Our Principal,
Summer has come to an end and another school year is upon us. We’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new families, and a sincere thank you to returning families and those that chose to spend their summer with us. We enjoyed making memories with your children!
We recognize that this is a busy time for many families and are using this month’s school newsletter to include reminders on school closures, communication, security and more. Please read through this newsletter carefully, and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
As mentioned in my note earlier today, we have had quite a bit of movement after 2 internal promotions! Ms. Morgan is now our School Office Administrator, and Ms. Mieko is our Assistant Principal! Both girls are incredibly excited to hit the ground running and we will be spending much of next week dialing in our events for the rest of the year! As those details come to fruition we will update you! We’re going to be adding in more Parent Night Out Events and we will be working hard behind the scenes to ensure all students and families, whether it’s your 1st day or 500th day, feel welcomed and appreciated at Merryhill School!
Sincerely,
Jill McSpadden

Security Reminders
Door Codes:
Do you have a door code or do you use someone else’s? Everyone should have their own door code, so please let Ms. Jill know if you need your own code. With everyone having separate codes, we can pinpoint who picked up a child using our Tadpoles system as well as with our Sonitrol Security System.
Holding the Door Open:
Although the Canadian in me wants to hold the door open for everyone, please don’t make this a habit. If you’re not sure who is coming in behind you, please don’t feel bad about having them wait until the door is closed.
Speed through the Parking Lot:
Keep kids alive, drive 25 (or slower…) as you approach the school. Please proceed with caution upon exiting and entering the parking lot as many of our little ones aren’t always as visible as parents.
Back to School Night!
Come meet your Teachers and explore your child’s classroom on September 20th! More details to come!
Love our school? Leave us a review!
In today’s connected world, many families turn to online reviews to learn more about schools for their children. That is why we are asking you to take a few minutes to visit our school profile on Yelp, Google or GreatSchools to share the wonderful experiences you have had with our school. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
