Dear Parents,
November is a time for reflecting on what makes us Thankful and for being good friends. Our Character Education program helps the children to understand what it means to be a good friend and encourages kindness to all. Social interactions are so important, which is why it is one of our “links” that we focus on within our Links to Learning program. Children in preschool will learn how to interact with peers and adults, how to “do” for themselves, as well as listening skills and following simple directions. All very important skills to know before heading off to Kindergarten.
This month we will celebrate our Friendship/Family feast on Friday, November 22nd. This is a potluck style meal in which we all contribute. Parents are welcome to attend – we hope to see you all.
As we start heading into the Holiday time towards the end of the Month we will be putting together a “Celebration” Wall. This will focus on the many diverse family traditions that we all celebrate during the month of December. We will be asking you to share pictures of your family celebrating for the holidays. As part of our Kindness Project, we will be “Adopting” five families associated with the Sacramento Children’s Home. We will be sending out a wish list of items they need in order to make their Holiday Time a little less stressful…watch for more information soon.
We are wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving Season.
