Dear Parents,
We have now been re-opened for 3 weeks and I am so happy to report that things are really going well. We have all settled in and both the teachers and the children seems to be getting use to the new routines. I am very pleased with how the children are adjusting – enjoying their friends, having fun with all the activities, but best of all learning all the new rules: Social Distancing, Wearing Masks, etc…
We do understand that there are things that we could still do a little better, we are working to make sure that you all know what is happening in the classrooms: trying to take more pictures, making sure we are putting our “What We Learned Today” information in the daily report and being available by phone if you have questions. If you are not getting all the communication you need, please call us and we will make sure to help.
Lunch is going well now that we have revised a few of the original rules. Remember…
- Lunch can now come in a lunch box as long as it fits within the child’s cubby
- Please label all parts of the lunch box
- Teachers will put items back in the lunch box and in the child’s cubby – we will not be able to wash containers.
- If the lunch needs to be refrigerated, please put the lunch in a disposible bag
Other new rules to remember:
- No water bottles from home – children have access to water all day
- No toys or stuffed animals from home
- For nap time bring a small blanket and sheet – no pillows allowed
- COVID Hours: 7:30 – 5:30pm
If you have any questions about how things are going, or about any of the new policies, please do not hesitate to call the school any time.
