A Note From Our Principal
February was a great month at our school! The children enjoyed learning about friendship, kindness, Black History and Dental Hygiene! The month was filled with positive learning experiences. We are kicking March off with Reading Across America and dressing up as your favorite book character! The classrooms are also turning green as they prepare to catch those silly Leprechauns. We look forward to all the St. Patrick’s day activities and our PreK Leprechaun Traps. In anticipation of spring, our teachers are busy planning meaningful learning activities that will help students gain an appreciation for the changing seasons.
Sincerely,
Karina Medina
National Reading Month
March is National Reading Month. Thank you to all who participated in our book drive in February for Pajama Program. We collected 73 books! This month, our teachers have fun activities planned including reading and reenacting favorite books, introducing students to new titles, and much more. We are also looking forward to having parents become mystery readers via zoom while choosing their child’s favorite book to share with their class. Sign-up in the office if you wish to join the reading fun! As we continue our love for literacy, the Scholastic Book Fair will arrive the week of March 21st. We’ll send additional information via Links 2 Home soon.
