A Note From Our Principal
Summer is here and we are teaching, learning, and growing together! Our students are jumping into action, playing games, exploring nature, being creative, and participating in other fun summer-themed activities. The first week of school was a success! It was a pleasure meeting new families and catching up with returning families during our Meet the Admin morning event. Every week we will have a fun summer theme! We were impressed with the children’s creative work during our Art Show! We are kicking off the month of July with our Fourth of July Spectacular on the 5th. The children will explore with science as we mix Mentos and Diet Coke together…I wonder what will happen? Let’s just say the children will be in “AWE”! Feel free to sign up by your child’s classroom door for donations. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for us.
Sincerely,
Karina Medina
Kids Helping Communities
Donating to our community is important to Merryhill Preschool therefore we participate in our annual Kids Helping Kids Project! This year we will donate to Project Linus! We want to teach our students about the importance of helping others in need. Project Linus accepts hand made blankets or fabrics so volunteers can make blankets for children who are in the hospital or children in shelters as they may need a big hug or something to cuddle with. Unfortunately, they do not accept store bought blankets. During the week of Helping Hands 7/17, the Intermediates and Pre-K students will make blankets for the children. We are excited to help our community and having our students participate in this great cause with Project Linus as we bring joy to the children in need ! We are now accepting donations until July 22nd. Please stop by the office if you need more information.
Links 2 Home App
We know that summer is a busy time for our families. We want to communicate school happenings as clearly as possible to ensure that no one is left out. Daily reports are sent via email each day, but our Links 2 Home app keeps all school communications in one place and is always accessible. The app also allows you to communicate absences to your child’s teacher, leave drop-off notes, and read school notes in detail. We encourage you to visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app today. You will need to login with the email address you use for Alma. Please let us know if you have any issues.
