June News

A Note from Our Principal

As the school year is coming to an end, I would like to say congratulations to all the Pre-K graduates as they embark on a journey to Kindergarten. We had a fun filled school year starting with Teddy Bear Picnic and enjoying a week of celebrating the children during Week of the Young Child. It has been a pleasure sharing all the milestones and memories with our Merryhill families! Thank you for a wonderful year.

We would like to welcome our new families on June 20th! Get ready for an awesome summer! Our teachers and staff are busy planning a fun and unforgettable experience for our students. From sports and games to arts and crafts, we have something for everyone. We will be sharing more information soon via Links 2 Home about our upcoming events and activities. As always, we are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Sincerely,
Karina Medina

Welcome 2023-2024 School Year

We are starting the new school year with Meet the Admin on June 23rd. This is a great opportunity to meet the office administration team while enjoying some coffee and pastries. It is always nice to catch up with our families while having parents connecting with other parents within the Merryhill family. That day we will also be having crazy sock day! What socks will you be wearing?

Care Call Week

During the week of June 26th, teachers will call the families to introduce themselves and welcome everyone to their class. This is a great opportunity to talk to your teacher about your child and learn about what they will learn and what the expectations are for the classroom. Teachers will continue to provide care calls every other month to continue the communication and build a positive team relationship with their parents.

Did You Know?
Sight words help children become good readers. Our students learn to recognize these words in books, and our teachers work to reinforce them in class… enhancing reading comprehension and fluency, and making reading fun!

Cubby Refresh
Please make sure to refresh the spare clothing in your child’s cubby. Take home anything that no longer fits and leave a spare set of well-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes.
