They learn all about different animals and where they live. After researching, they write a short report and make a Keynote presentation about their animal. They also make a creative display showing their animal’s habitat. 2nd Grade Music Making with GarageBand Our students in 2nd grade learn how to make music using GarageBand software. We talk about tempo, beat, chords, and melody. First, they make a drumbeat to start their song. Then, they add sounds like bass, piano, and guitar to produce their final song. Finally, they learn how to save and share their songs with others. 3rd Grade Weather Experts Our 3rd grade students learn the difference between weather and climate. Each student picks a vacation spot and learns about its weather and climate. They write notes in Keynote and make a 7-day weather forecast. Then, they use a Green Screen by the Do Ink app to become meteorologists and record their forecasts like on TV. 3rd Grade Business Project Students embark on an exciting journey into the world of economics. They learn how to start their own business! They talk about money, what we need and want, and what makes goods and services valuable. They use Sketches to design their business’ logo and flyer. Then, they use Keynote to present their logo, slogan, and pricing details to their peers. They also write a persuasive essay in Pages to convince customers to buy. 4th Grade Native American Project Students in 4th grade learn about Native Americans. They look at pictures and make inferences based on what they already know and on what they can see happening in the image. They write their answers in Keynote. It’s just one way our students learn about Native Americans in an engaging, hands-on way.
