Only At Roseville Home / About Us / Only At Roseville Choosing Merryhill School We know that parents have a lot of choices for their child’s education. So, why do families choose Merryhill Preschool and Elementary School Roseville and stay with us until their child graduates? It is because so many wonderful things happen at our private school, #OnlyAtRoseville. Let us tell you more! Student Led, Compassion Driven Our Student Council empowers students of all grades to take action, represent their peers, and make an impact in our community. Each year, they choose charities to support and plan fundraising events. For example, they have collected pet food, toys, and supplies for the Placer SPCA to help animals in need. During the holidays, they have gathered toys and other items to help foster families. We also have joined events like Kids Heart Challenge with the American Heart Association to fight heart disease. These projects teach our students to care for others and make the world a better place. Preschool Learning For children ages 3 to 5, our preschool offers a mix of learning and play. In our nurturing classrooms, our students use their imagination in dramatic play while also practicing skills like reading sight words to get ready for kindergarten. Every day is full of activities that help them develop the skills and knowledge they need for a successful transition into elementary school. 2nd Grade Farm Project Our 2nd graders have a “farm-tastic” time learning all about farms! They explore science by studying farm animals and making weather charts. Math is part of the fun too, as they measure perimeters to build fences for their farms. They also learn new words, like action words for weather and names of things found on a farm. Clubs Our students can dive into many exciting clubs tailored to their interests. In our art club, budding artists explore their creativity through model making, drawing, and painting. They bring their imagination to life with every stroke. Our tech club offers experience in coding and video production, where students can develop digital skills that are essential for the future. Sports lovers can play games like Bucket Ball and Capture the Ball, created by our very own Coach. These activities build teamwork, strategy, and physical fitness. Tech Savvy Students As an Apple Distinguished School, Merryhill Roseville equips students with the tools to become tech savvy learners. They use iPads to express their creativity while also incorporating academic skills. Held once a trimester, Student Led Conferences are a chance for our students to track progress and set goals. During that time, they utilize technology to create presentations for their conference using software such as Keynote and iMovie.
