Hello! I’m Allison Janz, a First Grade teacher. This will be my fifth year at Merryhill!

I love teaching because I love watching young minds blossom and become eager, curious, successful students. I am committed to helping my students understand the importance of education and building a strong foundation that supports a lifelong love of learning.

I grew up outside of Seattle, Washington but moved to Las Vegas 7 years ago. I graduated from Gonzaga University with my Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies. I will have my Master’s in Elementary Education completed soon! When I am not teaching or studying, I am spending time with my daughters, husband, and cats. When I have a little time to myself, I love to cook and bake, read scientific journals, watch documentaries, go on outdoor adventures (when it’s not hot out), and explore all the food Las Vegas has to offer!
