I’m Mrs. DeCoursey! This is my 10th year teaching. I love watching third graders grow and become independent learners. Here are some of our learning highlights and information about our weekly homework:

Third Grade Highlights:

• We will develop our understanding of multiplication, division, and fractions.
• We will begin novel studies which will allow us to sharpen our comprehension, strengthen our vocabulary, and make interdisciplinary connections.
• We will write for a variety of purposes including to tell a story, teach about a topic, and share our opinion.
• We will expand our knowledge of plant and animal adaptations, environmental changes and effects, and fossils.

Homework

Students will receive a weekly homework packet on Monday and will turn it in on Friday. They will also receive a weekly spelling list.
