Hi Families,

Welcome to Room 108! The first half of the year has been a great transition from review to 2nd grade mid year curriculum.

We have focused on….

1. Math: Working towards mastering addition strategies and adding within 100
2. Language Arts: Reading comprehension identifying the central Idea, setting, characters, and summarizing. Learning how to write a narrative, descriptive writing, and fantasy story.
3. Science: Mapping our World, Selecting and Using Materials in the Design Process
4. Social Studies: How to be a good citizen, Government, and History (Innovations over time)

 

I look forward to watching your kids grow and master our Second Grade curriculum. I hope every one has a great winter break and a happy New Year!
