Welcome! I’m Mrs. Öney, and I can’t wait to get to know you all throughout the year. I taught English/ESL for nine years before coming to Merryhill, and I’m super excited to get started.

If you have me for seventh grade ELA, we’ll be diving into the wonderful world of literature, honing our analytical reading and writing skills, and parsing the perplexing mysteries of the English language.

If you have me for sixth grade social studies, we’ll be untangling the threads of different social and historical forces and learning to view the world around us with a critical historian’s eye.
