They love exploring and learning new things every day. We focus on building their independence and confidence as they grow. Our students work on their self-help skills, like getting dressed and washing their hands. They also use utensils and take care of their basic needs. Your child will grow in confidence, one small success at a time. These skills help them feel proud and capable. Your child will learn new words, explore shapes, sort colors, and make art with many textures and materials. We support them in thinking critically by helping them explain the things they see and do. Schedule a Tour Students Will Enjoy: Sensory activities that help them recognize their first name in print. Chances to ask and answer “who,” “what,” “where,” “why,” and “yes/no” questions. Music games that encourage their self-expression. Introduction of Spanish, social studies, and diversity lessons. Links to Learning in our Beginner Classroom: Language & Literacy Our students learn new words by talking with their teachers and friends. They follow directions and use words to share their needs and feelings. These skills make communication easier for them. Mathematical Thinking Children explore numbers by grouping items and noticing simple patterns. They work with number sets, experiment with shapes, and sort by colors. These early math activities build confidence, problem-solving, and reasoning skills. Social-Emotional Learning Our students use words to get across their needs and wants. They practice taking turns and sharing with friends. Our teachers help them name feelings in themselves and others. These skills support their social growth and help them understand different types of emotions. Wellness Children build coordination by doing tasks that use their hands and eyes together, such as stacking blocks or drawing. Simple movements, like hopping or balancing on one foot, help them to develop balance and strengthen their muscles. Creative Expression Our students play musical instruments, dance to favorite songs, and start to choose tunes that they love. They make art with different colors, textures, and materials, showing their creativity. In pretend play, they act out stories and use their imagination in fun and new ways. Scientific Exploration Young children are naturally curious! In our program, they learn where animals live and explore basic engineering ideas through hands-on activities. They use tools to explore objects, ask questions, and learn how things work. Citizens of the World Our students learn about similarities and differences between themselves and others. They are also introduced to Spanish, where they learn colors, shapes, and greetings. We create a welcoming space where all cultures are valued and celebrated.
