Family Communication Home / About Us / Family Communication We Keep You Connected to Your Child’s Day and Learning Progress We know that aside from extraordinary curriculum and caring teachers, communication is one of the most important factors when choosing a preschool. Not only is communication with your child’s preschool important, but in today’s busy world, it can feel overwhelming to stay on top of what your child is learning at daycare. Our teachers and admin staff strive to make communication as seamless as possible, so you have one less thing to worry about! We make sure that you know what skills your child is working on, how they are progressing, what they are loving most, and even if they ate all of their lunch. Links 2 Home Through our Links 2 Home app, you will receive a photo of your child each day and see how the activity connects to one of our Links to Learning skills. You will also be kept informed of your child’s meals, naps and toileting. Families can also send notes to their child’s teacher and receive important updates from the school. Monthly Folder We know that you will love the excitement on your child’s face when they review their projects with you at the end of each month. The folder includes samples of your child’s work, along with a link to view all the skills and goals achieved that month. You will also receive a letter with activity suggestions for continuing the learning at home. Family Reports and Conferences Although you will always be kept updated on your child’s progress, our child care teachers complete formal family reports three times annually, in the fall, winter and spring. While we encourage our families to connect with teachers at any time, conferences offer a dedicated time to review the family report and identify areas of improvement and mastery. Family Boards Family boards are a wealth of information. There you will find the weekly lesson plan and skill sheet, learning outcomes for the year, Spanish vocabulary we are working on, and more.
