Your child will learn to follow rules, listen to their teacher and friends, show respect, and follow directions. A survey showed that 95% of our Pre-K families feel as though their child is ready for kindergarten, especially if they started at our school by age 2 years. Our students learn letter sounds and sight words, practice basic math, and explore maps and globes. They also do fun science experiments and play pretend. For children who miss the kindergarten cut-off, we provide them with extra learning activities and challenges to help them keep growing. Schedule a Tour Students Will Enjoy: Role-playing games to practice teamwork and make new friends. Jobs in the classroom that build their responsibility and help them feel valued. Time to share ideas through inventive spelling and drawings. Engineering projects that grow their critical thinking skills. Links to Learning in our Pre-K Classroom: Language & Literacy Our students learn letter sounds and sight words to build early reading skills. They guess what will happen next in books. They also learn to ask questions to understand more deeply. Mathematical Thinking We teach our students addition and subtraction. They work with patterns, graphs, and basic reasoning. They build problem-solving skills by exploring numbers and shapes. Social-Emotional Learning Our Pre-K students learn to express their feelings with words, play nicely with friends, and build positive relationships. We introduce them to values like kindness and respect to help them understand how to be good friends. Wellness Students engage in games that help develop their gross motor skills. They jump rope, balance, and throw a ball at a target. These exercises help to improve their control, strength, and body awareness. Creative Expression Our Pre-K students explore different artists and learn about art forms like painting and sculpture. They join in imaginative play inspired by their own experiences and interests. Scientific Exploration In science, our Pre-K students conduct experiments to explore ideas and make observations. They use simple technology tools and participate in engineering challenges. These activities help them build problem-solving and discovery skills. Citizens of the World Students in Pre-K learn that money is used to buy things. This gives them a basic understanding of how exchanges work. They also explore world languages and cultures. Our students use maps and globes to learn about various places around the world.
